Raymond Scott
Centennial Portrait
by Drew Friedman

RaymondScott.com is proud to offer exclusive limited edition fine art prints of this centennial portrait of Raymond Scott and his legendary 1937-39 Quintette by acclaimed illustrator Drew Friedman. The archival-quality giclée prints were introduced on September 10, 2008, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Raymond Scott.

The work has been reproduced in an edition of 30 prints, which are hand-signed and titled by the artist. We have sold prints #1/30 thru #10/30, and are now releasing a block of five prints (#11/30 thru #15/30) at $300 each (plus shipping). After these five prints are sold, the price of remaining prints will increase as edition stock depletes.

DREW FRIEDMAN is one of the most in-demand caricature artists in contemporary commercial illustration. His work has appeared in ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, TIME, ESQUIRE, NEWSWEEK, MAD MAGAZINE, ROLLING STONE, RAW, and dozens of other top periodicals. He has also published five books of his works.

This is the first Drew Friedman illustration to be offered as a limited edition, signed fine art print. This work is exclusive to RaymondScott.com, and is not available through any other source.

The image area is 16-1/4" high x 15" wide on an untrimmed 22" x 17" sheet of heavyweight (310g) mould-made William Turner stock, a natural white, 100% rag paper with a fine toothy surface manufactured by Hahnemuehle, who are renowned for premium-grade archival papers.

The edition was produced by Barbara Economon on an Epson 3800Pro large format printer using Epson UltraChrome K3 Pigment Ink Technology, resulting in brilliant resolution and offering excellent longevity and durability. Due to the fine art print's higher-resolution process, as well as superior paper, inks, and quality control, the actual print appears brighter, crisper, and more vibrant than the online image. Online appearance may vary slightly depending on your monitor settings.

The print will ship flat, securely packaged and guaranteed against bending or dents. Print includes a detailed, custom-printed one-sheet with instructions for the proper care of this fine art reproduction.

''Drew Friedman isn't just a brilliant artist. He takes you to a place. He takes you back in time. He makes you smell the stale cigarettes and cold brisket and you say, thank you for the pleasure.''
-SARAH SILVERMAN

''He holds a marvelously warped lens up to crusty politicians and debauched celebrities. A good-natured misanthrope with an obsessive style and a sardonic tongue, Drew Friedman is one of the country's sharper political artists.''
-ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

''I love Drew Friedman. He’s my favorite artist.''
-HOWARD STERN
